Dr. Peterson was born and raised in Rancho Cucamonga and continues to live here and
be a part of the community today. “I’ve been in the field of orthodontics for 12 years, but
I started this practice in July 2020.” Dr. Peterson says, “I was inspired at an early age
by my mother, a dental hygienist, and my own orthodontist, the late Dr. Stephen Tracey.
My mother cherished the relationships she had with her patients, and I was always so
impressed that when we ran into them all over town, she knew their names and so
many details about their lives! My orthodontist was an incredibly inspirational and
energetic man who ran a thriving business with a vibrant team, and exuded a love for
his craft, patients, and community. He became a mentor for me as I worked my way
through college, dental school, and residency. I have modeled much of my life and
business based on the examples these two people set for me.”
Synergi Orthodontics’ mission is to provide treatment that is individualized for each patient. Our
office is innovative, with the latest technology and treatment planning, constantly
integrating the advances of modern medicine in health and dental care. We believe
our job is important, and our mission is to be inspirational, positively impacting their
patients and community through smiles. Our team has integrity, and our actions build
trust. We are intentional. We come to work every day prepared to be our best selves as
we serve the community. We strive to be inviting and inclusive. We believe
everyone deserves to smile!
“I’m lucky that I found a career that completely aligns with the purpose and passion of
my life and faith.” Says, Dr. Peterson. “Taking care of patients is very personal for me,
and I hire people who have the same mentality. We love on our patients, we do our very
best work, we exceed expectations, and we make orthodontics the BEST part of our
patients’ day! It’s a privilege to get to do what we do.”
The Team at Synergi say their workday is like a block party from sun up to sun down.
It’s part of their culture to have a positive perspective, to enjoy what they do, and to be
grateful. They love to celebrate, and there is always something to celebrate!
Early intervention is so important not just for straight teeth, but it also affects long term
breathing, impact on chronic disease, future dental work from traumatic occlusion, TMJ
issues, eating and speech issues, need for surgeries, bone and gum health, and more.
It’s especially important to bring all kids in for a screening to an orthodontist by age 7.
The old school way of waiting for the baby teeth to come out is simply not great advice
anymore. Ninety percent of facial development is done by age 12, and past that age our
options for ideal treatment decrease. This doesn’t mean we do early treatment on all
kids before age 12, but we catch a ton of things early that are easier to fix, than treating
them at a later age when it is more complex.
Dr. Peterson says, “My faith is the foundation for my life and my job. With that, I feel like
most days I’m living heaven on earth. It is such a privilege to change people’s lives in a
big or small way through their smile, health, and confidence. My favorite part about my
work is developing relationships with my patients-I adopt everyone as my friends and
family, and I also love educating them-most people have no idea how important certain
aspects of orthodontics are to long term health.”
You will not find a team who works harder to make the Orthodontic outcome and
experience better than they could imagine.
