Anti-Spam Policy

What Is Spam?

Spam is generally defined as unsolicited, bulk electronic communications sent without the recipient’s consent. This most commonly includes promotional emails, text messages, or other electronic communications sent indiscriminately or to individuals who have not requested or agreed to receive such messages.

Not all unsolicited communication is spam. For example, a one-to-one message sent in response to an inquiry, an existing patient relationship, or a request for information would not typically be considered spam. True spam usually involves mass advertising messages sent without permission and without a legitimate relationship between the sender and recipient.

Spam is problematic because it wastes time, consumes digital resources, and can undermine trust in electronic communication.
