Dr. Eric Wong was born and raised in El Monte, CA. As a child, he loved exploring nature, watching Animal Planet, and helping his mom in the garden—interests that led him to study Biology at UCLA with dreams of becoming an environmental scientist.
While in college, Dr. Wong was able to get a small cosmetic dental procedure to close the spaces between his front teeth. The boost in confidence he felt inspired him to pursue dentistry, realizing how
powerful a healthy smile can be.
He earned his dental degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA. He went on to complete his orthodontic residency and master’s research at Texas A&M University College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX.
During residency, he finally received the orthodontic treatment he had always hoped for—making the experience even more meaningful.
Dr. Wong has always been passionate about giving back. He’s tutored students in his hometown and volunteered in school-based dental clinics in El Monte and Pomona. Now back in Southern California, he’s excited to continue serving the community that shaped him.
In his free time, Dr. Wong enjoys discovering new restaurants and coffee shops, hiking, weightlifting, and working on his photography and cooking skills. He’s always open to a great recipe or local spot—feel free to share one when you see him!

When you meet Dr. Eric, you will quickly notice his warmth and genuine compassion. Many who know Dr. Eric describe him as one of the “nicest” guys they know. Beyond this, Dr. Eric is extremely detailed, and his work ethic is unmatched. He is a phenomenal orthodontist. We are thrilled to have Dr. Eric on the Synergi Ortho team!
