The Synergi Smiles Foundation
Our Mission is to provide education and financial assistance for orthodontic treatment and adjunct interventional services to kids in the Inland Empire.
First a dream, and now becoming a reality, the Synergi Smiles Foundation, was founded on January 17, 2025 and will be launching officially on July 9, 2025 (the 5 year anniversary of Synergi Orthodontic Specialists). Orthodontics has changed drastically in the last decade. It is no longer simply about straight teeth. Orthodontics is now understood to be critical care, where airway, speech, and overall health is affected. Many people don’t know how important early intervention is, or how much a patient’s life can be changed by orthodontics, myofunctional therapy, tongue tie releases, and other adjunct services. Many people don’t know that expanders or myofunctional therapy can help speech, can improve sleep, decrease asthma symptoms, help patients avoid surgeries like tonsil and adenoid removal, and SO much more. Dr. Peterson is partnering with some incredible people in the community, namely Benet Heames, Jackie Becerra-Lising, and Dr. Cherish Leung, to spread the word and help families get the necessary care in our community.
At The Synergi Smiles Foundation, we believe everyone deserves the confidence and health benefits of a beautiful smile. As a nonprofit organization based in Rancho Cucamonga, our mission is to give back to our community by providing at least $100,000 annually in financial assistance for orthodontic treatment and adjunct services, as well as community educational support.
We will be accepting applicants in the fall of 2025. Beyond treatment, we are committed to making a lasting impact through community orthodontic education (lunch and learns, pre-dental programs, early intervention awareness), volunteering, and support for local schools and organizations. We will provide orthodontic comfort and dental trauma kits to schools and organizations, educate teachers and speech therapists on how to identify kids who need early intervention, encourage and support students who are pursuing careers in dentistry, and inspire our patients to spread kindness and compassion throughout our city.
